1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UK Dry Cleaning LTD ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of our dry cleaning and laundry services.

By using our services, visiting our premises, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

UK Dry Cleaning LTD provides the following services:

  • Professional dry cleaning of garments and textiles
  • Laundry and ironing services
  • Pickup and delivery services
  • Special garment care (wedding dresses, leather, suede, etc.)
  • Alterations and repairs (where available)

Service availability may vary by location. We reserve the right to refuse service for items we deem unsuitable for cleaning or beyond our capability.

3. Customer Responsibilities

3.1 Item Inspection

Customers are responsible for:

  • Checking all pockets and removing personal items before submitting garments
  • Informing us of any stains, damage, or special care requirements
  • Providing accurate care label information
  • Declaring items of high value (over £500) at the time of drop-off

3.2 Item Collection

  • Items must be collected within 30 days of notification
  • A valid receipt or collection reference must be presented
  • Items should be inspected upon collection; claims must be made immediately

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing

  • Prices are displayed at our premises and on our website
  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • Special treatments may incur additional charges
  • All prices include VAT where applicable

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon collection unless a credit account has been established
  • We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods
  • For delivery services, payment must be made at the time of order or upon delivery
  • Uncollected items may be subject to storage fees after 30 days

5. Liability and Compensation

5.1 Our Liability

We take utmost care in handling your garments. However, our liability is limited as follows:

  • Standard Items: Maximum compensation of 10 times the cleaning charge, up to £100 per item
  • High-Value Items: Must be declared and insured separately; maximum £500 per item
  • Exclusions: We are not liable for:
    • Pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or manufacturing defects
    • Color loss or shrinkage due to fabric characteristics
    • Damage to buttons, beads, sequins, or trimmings
    • Items left for more than 30 days
    • Loss or damage to items in pockets

5.2 Claims Process

  • Claims must be made within 48 hours of collection
  • The original receipt must be presented
  • Items must be available for inspection
  • We reserve the right to have items independently assessed

5.3 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, equipment failure, or government restrictions.

6. Pickup and Delivery Service

6.1 Service Terms

  • Pickup and delivery services are subject to availability in your area
  • Minimum order values may apply
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • Someone must be present to hand over/receive items

6.2 Delivery Liability

  • We are not responsible for items left unattended at customer's request
  • Proof of delivery will be obtained for all deliveries
  • Delivery address changes must be notified 24 hours in advance

7. Uncollected Items

Items not collected within the specified timeframe are subject to the following:

  • 30-60 days: Storage fee of £2 per item per week
  • 60-90 days: Additional reminder notices sent
  • After 90 days: Items may be donated to charity or disposed of

We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before disposing of uncollected items.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of UK Dry Cleaning LTD and protected by UK and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we handle your data.

10. Customer Conduct

Customers must:

  • Treat our staff with respect and courtesy
  • Provide accurate information when placing orders
  • Not submit illegal items or items obtained illegally
  • Not submit items contaminated with hazardous materials

We reserve the right to refuse service to customers who violate these terms or behave inappropriately.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

11.1 Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled before processing begins
  • Once processing has started, cancellation may incur charges
  • Pickup/delivery appointments can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice

11.2 Refund Policy

Refunds are provided in the following circumstances:

  • Service not performed as agreed
  • Damage caused by our negligence (subject to liability limits)
  • Duplicate charges or billing errors

12. Warranties and Disclaimers

12.1 Service Warranty

We warrant that our services will be performed with reasonable care and skill. If you are not satisfied, we will re-clean items free of charge or provide a refund at our discretion.

12.2 Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee specific results for stain removal
  • We are not responsible for color fastness or fabric stability
  • Website content is for informational purposes and may contain inaccuracies

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UK Dry Cleaning LTD shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Emotional distress or inconvenience
  • Damages exceeding the compensation limits specified in Section 5

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UK Dry Cleaning LTD, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights
  • Items submitted for cleaning that are illegal or hazardous

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any disputes. Most issues can be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

15.2 Formal Complaints

If informal resolution fails, you may submit a formal written complaint to:

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and UK Dry Cleaning LTD regarding our services.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
